Prime Circle's brand new Album ‘Let The Night In’ will
be out on Friday 13 June
‘Let
The Night In’ is the sixth studio album by South African rock band Prime Circle.
It is scheduled for release this week, Friday June 13, 2014 through the band's
newly formed label, Prime Records. This album is the follow up to the 2012 album Evidence. The album was officially announced 25 April, 2014 via the band's official social media pages and website.
The first single "Gone" was released on 21 May 2014 on the announcement of the album's iTunes pre-order listing, with “Gone” available for immediate download.
“Gone” which
is the second track on the album and a single is the reason for my sharing the
good news about one of South Africa’s top rock band’s new album release.
Music
is like food or wine. We all have our own particular taste in music, food and
wine! Listening or tasting blind without knowing the origin of a product is the
surest way of knowing if something truly appeals to you and is worth
purchasing.
I had my “Ah
Ha” moment on the William Nicol today.
Listening to Mark Pilgrim on the Drive Time, 94.7 Highveld radio afternoon show on my journey
home from Sandton. I really enjoyed a song that I was not familiar with and then
heard it was the new release “Gone” by Prime Circle.
Having been part of the audience at a live performance of Prime Circle at the Protea Fire and Ice only a fortnight earlier made the experience an even more positive consumer "listen to purchase" motivation – I’ll be buying the new album on 13 June!
The album will be supported by the band's first South African arena tour including dates at Johannesburg's Montecasino Teatro (18/19 July 2014), Cape Town's Grand Arena, Grandwest (9 August 2014) and Bloemfontein's Sand du Plessis Theatre (31 July & 1 August 2014). The band will also embark on a European tour in June 2014 in support of the album including dates in Spain, France and Belgium where they will perform at Graspop Festival. In October the band returns to Germany to tour the album extensively across the country.
These are foot tapping, rocking sounds. The very best of South African rock talent!
“These are exciting times,” said Ross Learmonth, interviewed
by Tonight, The Star reporter. “It’s the biggest album we have done because
it’s the best we have ever done. We are doing what we love. We are playing
music.”
Happy
Touring Guys!
